It's time to show you guys our last days in Philippines. I will be honest and will admit that after we lived in a dream for a couple days it was very sad to leave Duli Beach. At the same time we knew that our holiday is coming to an end :/
One of our last stops were in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. We bought tickets and had a 5h drive there. It was quite challenging. Tiny van full with people. I recognised half of the road because we took the same road to go to Taytay:) On our first night we just went out to have a dinner and book a tour for the next day. Another day full of snorkelling!! I was really happy about it.
On a snorkelling day I didn't feel good :/ Luckily I had enough energy to do snorkelling, but I spend the rest of the tour sleeping in shadows. Imagine the most beautiful beach on a sunny day, white sand, blue water and all I do is sleep. My energy dropped drastically, I didn't want to eat. I blame food that we ate a night before. My apetite was gone for a good 3days. I would just have one soda drink in a day and that's it.
For the last two nights in Puerto Princesa we decided to stay in a fancier hotel with a swimming pool. It was pretty empty, but I felt like it's lacking the local vibe and has more of a western look:/ Which is ok, but not for us. It's like coming to Philippines to eat pizza instead of trying local food.
Waiting for our flight to Manila.
That's how many people are always there waiting for their family members/friends. I felt like I'm a star and these peeps are my fans behind the fence ;))
We didn't stay in Manila too long but I could feel that this city never sleeps. It's always on the go and has so much to offer. Another thing that surprised me a lot, was huge and I mean H-U-U-U-G-E buildings they have there!
We slept for only couple hours but I woke up happily knowing that it's finally time to go home :) Back to Vancouver :) It was a good trip and I had lots of amazing experience and first time moments, but I felt like it's not the country where I would live. It's too hot and too humid for me. Any day the temperature would go higher then +30, I would feel low energy and all I would do is sleep. I loved the people there, super friendly and instead of treating you as a tourist with lots of money they smile at you with the most genuine smile :)
So let's smile more!
This is a Christmas tree in a mall. Looks very familiar to Vilnius Christmas tree couple years ago :)
